Annual Campaign

Our children recently celebrated the 100th day of the 2015/2016 school year.  This reminds us that every passing year brings the promise and achievement of success within our school district and most importantly, our children.  The Alexandria Township Education Foundation (ATEF) has been proud to be a part of these successes since 1997 through approved grants for educational programs for our schools.

The ATEF has been able to support these grants through funds raised by the Fun Run which saw its 2nd successful year this past fall.  In addition, individual donations and corporate matching dollars have been invaluable contributions to the programs the ATEF has been able to fund during 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 school years.

Following are just a few of these terrific programs:

Fairview Shutterfly books for 7th Graders Students applied their knowledge accrued at the Fairview trip by creating a cross circular Shutterfly book which includes research, facts and stories to make connections to concepts being learned in the classroom in Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies

Woodlands Education Program for 2nd Graders The goal of the Woodlands education program is to “foster an appreciation and understanding of New Jersey’s wildlife and habitats.  Science based programs have been designed to promote coexistence among people, wildlife and the environment.”

Science:  Structure, Function & Information Processing for 1st Graders – Eyes of the Wild educational assembly program on animals and how animal parents communicate with their offspring

School Beautification by AMS Students & Staff Plexiglas encasements to protect murals created by the AMS Art Students.  Benefits of the beautification project is to promote the visual art program

School Garden – recurring costs in support of continued maintenance of the garden at Lester D. Wilson

Help us to continue bringing these and other programs to our district by making a tax-deductible donation to the ATEF. We believe that to assist our children in understanding how their unique gifts and talents may be utilized in today’s complex world they must be exposed to a wide range of topics.
